How BIOLAND works
The Earth and its ionosphere form a spherical resonator. Atmospheric electrical discharges – lightning (about 50 strikes occur every second worldwide) generate electromagnetic waves in the space between the Earth and the ionosphere, which then resonate after circling the globe. These are called Schumann resonances, their fundamental frequency is 7.83 Hz.
The Earth–ionosphere system behaves like a giant bell, and the Schumann frequency is the fundamental ‘note’ the planet continuously emits. This natural background has existed since long before human civilization, and all human development has occurred in its presence.
The BIOLAND microprocessor converts a stream of random events (generated at 10,000 events per second) into a noise signal with a comb spectrum from 0 to 2 kHz, spaced in 7.8 Hz increments, with a peak around 200 Hz. This corresponds to the average electromagnetic activity produced by lightning discharges across the planet.
The 7.8 Hz spacing reflects the time it takes electromagnetic waves to travel around the Earth within the Earth–ionosphere waveguide. The 0–2 kHz range results from signal dispersion along the propagation path.
The processed signal is amplified and transmitted through an oscillatory circuit into the surrounding space. The device therefore generates electromagnetic oscillations that simulate the natural background present at the Earth’s surface in the absence of man-made interference.
